Built in 1926 in the Georgian Revival style, the President’s Home has hosted distinguished visitors, alumnae, students and friends. First occupied by longtime Stephens President James Madison Wood, the house has also served as a home for famed stage actress and Stephens drama professor Maude Adams. President Dianne Lynch led a successful fundraising campaign to restore the home, which reopened to students and the community in December 2011.
Today, students once again gather in its halls for special events and programming as the President’s Home stands in the heart of the Historic Quadrangle.
