How to Schedule a Counseling Appointment

There are three (3) ways to schedule an appointment at the Stephens College Counseling Center (SCCC). Each option will require you to complete the SCC Informed Consent documentation, found at the following link: Access the Counseling Center Initial Intake Form >

Option 1: Follow the 3-step process below

1.     Click on this link: Access the Counseling Center Initial Intake Form >

*Note: You may be asked to sign in with your official Stephens College email account to access the form.

2.     Complete and submit the form-please provide as much detail as possible regarding your availability (i.e., schedule). When submitted, your information goes directly to the SCCC Clinical Coordinator for review.

3.     Counseling Center staff will respond via your Stephens College email with an appointment and time, along with instructions for the first appointment. When working with the Counseling Center, it is important to always check your junk email folder to ensure you are not missing a communication from the SCCC or your counselor.

Option 2: Call the SCCC & Leave a Voicemail Message

1.     You can call the SCCC to set up, cancel, or reschedule an appointment. All calls to the Counseling Center are automatically directed to SCCC voicemail, so you must leave a message for action to be taken by SCCC staff.

2.     To leave a message, use LEAVE A MESSAGE at (573) 876-7157. All voice mails are immediately emailed to the SCCC Clinical Coordinator, who will response promptly to the student’s official email from the SCCC email address [email protected].

Option 3: Email the Counseling Center

1. Email the SCCC at to [email protected] to set up an initial appointment.

2. Email messages to the SCCC requesting counseling appointments are received by the SCCC Clinical Coordinator.

3. The SCCC clinical coordinator will reply to the student within 1 business day (and usually much sooner) from the Stephens College Counseling Center email ([email protected]) with directions for setting up an appointment.

4. Students should always check their junk mail folder as well to ensure no messages from the SCCC or counselors are missed.
