CategoriesThe Stephens College MFA in TV and Screenwriting hosted its 5th successful TV Writers Lab in conjunction with the Athena Film Festival. The TV Writers Lab is a creative development workshop for emerging women and non-binary writers held in partnership with the Stephens College MFA in TV and Screenwriting. Applicants submit a project that includes a woman or women characters in a leadership role or position at the center of the story. During the lab, writers meet with mentors from the Stephens MFA for one-on-one consultations over their scripts. Then the group spends an afternoon in a mock writers room with Dr. Rosanne Welch, Executive Director of the Stephens College MFA with credits in writers rooms for Beverly Hills, 90210, Picket Fences and Touched by an Angel.
