Workforce Development opportunities are coming to Stephens College!

Stephens College is proud to announce the upcoming launch of its groundbreaking Women In Trades program, set to commence in April 2024. As a pioneer in women's education for over a century, Stephens College continues its legacy of empowering women by providing unparalleled opportunities in traditionally male-dominated fields.

The Women In Trades program at Stephens College is designed to address the gender gap in skilled trades professions by offering comprehensive training, mentorship, and support to women seeking to enter these dynamic and rewarding industries. Through a combination of hands-on learning experiences, classroom instruction, and industry partnerships, participants will gain the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to thrive in fields such as construction, carpentry, heavy highway construction, and more.

"We are thrilled to introduce the Women In Trades program at Stephens College, furthering our commitment to fostering inclusivity and diversity in all aspects of education," said Dr. Scott Taylor, Dean of Workforce Development and Continuing Studies at Stephens College. "By providing women with the resources and support they need to succeed in traditionally male-dominated trades, we are not only breaking down barriers but also opening doors to new opportunities and pathways to economic empowerment."

The launch of the Women In Trades program aligns with Stephens College's mission to prepare students for meaningful careers and leadership roles in an ever-evolving global society. With a curriculum developed in collaboration with industry experts and tailored to meet the unique needs of women entering the trades, participants can expect to receive top-notch training that positions them for success in the workforce.

In addition to technical skills training, the Women In Trades program will also offer networking opportunities, mentorship programs, and career development resources to help participants navigate their professional journey with confidence and resilience. By fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment, Stephens College aims to empower women to pursue their passions and achieve their full potential in the trades.

The Women In Trades program at Stephens College will officially launch in April 2024, with enrollment open to women of all backgrounds and experience levels. For more information about the program and how to apply, visit Stephens College Women In Trades Program Website.
