The Stephens College DECA team celebrated a remarkable victory at the Collegiate DECA International Career Development Conference this past weekend.
Carley Dudley and Riley Pierson secured an impressive third place in International Marketing, demonstrating their strategic acumen and innovative approaches. Kate Stevens emerged as a top-ten finalist in Digital Marketing Strategies, highlighting her proficiency in navigating the digital landscape. Avery Throckmorton displayed her expertise and distinguished herself as the top exam performer in Restaurant and Hospitality Management.
In addition to their victories from the Collegiate DECA International Career Development Conference, Stephens College DECA team also won big at the Missouri State Career Development Conference in February. Their awards are listed below.

DECA serves as a platform for developing future leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management across high schools and colleges worldwide. Scott Taylor is the faculty sponsor for Stephens College DECA, and this is the program's second year in existence. Beyond competitions, joining Collegiate DECA can open doors to a multitude of opportunities on campus and beyond. Programs at local, chartered association, and international levels allow members to put their skills to the test and represent their institutions on a global stage. Collegiate DECA enables students to prepare for their future careers while expanding and applying their learning beyond the classroom.
