Connecting, Supporting, Serving
Our alumnae are the heart and soul of the Stephens College community, living proof of the transformational power of a Stephens College education.
As the College contemplates its third century, it aspires to create an engagement program that authentically and effectively connects, serves and supports every member of our diverse, eclectic and unique alumnae community at all stages of their lives.
A grassroots collaboration involving alumnae at large, current and former members of our Board of Trustees, current and former members of the Alumnae Association Board (AAB), campus leadership and staff is working together to build inclusive community engagement opportunities through active volunteerism and joyful connection with and for Stephens.
Over the past few months, the College has conducted an alumnae engagement survey (closed) and offered listening sessions to begin to form an understanding of how our community wants to be engaged. Information gathered includes: brainstorming around strategies for increased involvement, gauging the level of time commitment volunteers wish to offer, and assessing the many areas in which we could be helpful to alumnae, as well as ways alumnae wish to help the College. These information-gathering initiatives will continue throughout the fall aided by peer-to-peer brainstorming sessions hosted by alumnae. A synthesis of all information will take place later this fall with the goal of announcing a framework for active and rewarding involvement with the College and our community members.
