At Stephens, our athletes practice hard and play even harder. They win, they lose, they sometimes tie. No matter the outcome, it's all for the larger purpose—to honor their talent, to show up for their coaches and teammates, to grow as individuals, and to represent Stephens to the best of their ability.
To show our appreciation for our student athletes and to help them start the season off right, Stephens College held Athletes Appreciation Day as the sports season kicked off in August.
In welcoming athletes to the event, Athletics Director and Head Basketball Coach Andre Bell summed it up nicely by saying, "No win will compare to the win of having you here [at Stephens]."
Athletes Appreciation Day was a chance for the campus community to meet and celebrate the teams and offered us the opportunity to celebrate with them as they kicked off their seasons.
