Sigma Tau Delta offers incredible opportunities for Stephens Creative Writing and English students.

Stephens College Creative Writing Majors Jessamin McSwain, Class of ‘23, and Senior Zoe (Colvin) London -- longstanding members of Alpha Epsilon Eta, an “Outstanding Chapter” of the International English Honor Society, Sigma Tau Delta -- were invited to attend and had their work accepted to present at the International Sigma Tau Delta Convention in Denver on April 1, 2023.

Both women walked away from that conference as winners! Jessamin was awarded the Judson Quincy Owen Convention Award in Fiction. Zoe, who graduates in December, won Honorable Mention for the Stemmler/Dennis LGBT& Award for Fiction. Amazing work and thank you both for representing Stephens so well!

The next Sigma Tau Delta convention will be held in St. Louis, April 3-6, 2024. To attend, you must be a Sigma Tau member.

Could you be the next winner getting your creative work recognized? This is an incredible opportunity for Stephens Creative Writing and English students (or any students who meet membership requirements) to submit their work and be considered for the opportunity to present at next spring’s conference.

If you have questions or to apply to become a Sigma Tau Delta member, contact Professor Kris Somerville, [email protected] or phone ext. 4669.
