This fall, the Conservatory at Stephens College welcomes back Broadway veteran and Assistant Professor of Acting, John Hemphill.

 

Hemphill recently concluded two years playing Larry Murphy on the North American Tour of Dear Evan Hansen, which started in Denver, Colorado, in October 2018 and ended its run in July of this year. 

In this production, Hemphill worked alongside Anthony Norman as 'Evan Hansen,' Coleen Sexton as 'Heidi Hansen' and Lili Thomas as 'Cynthia Murphy.' Pablo Laucerica and Micaela Lamas rounded out the cast as 'Jared Kleinman' and 'Alana Beck.'  

John’s previous work includes starring asnot one, buttwo Dads in the Broadway production of "Mamma Mia!" and was in the original Broadway company of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s "School of Rock the Musical." He also starred in the Broadway National Tour of "Mamma Mia!" and the First National Tour of "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. 

 

Back at the Conservatory at Stephens College, John re-joins a faculty of talented working professionals.
