Are you a singer, dancer, poet, musician or actress? Well, if you are we are looking for YOU! S.G.A will be hosting auditions for performers for the the Black History Rhythm and Blues Party this Wednesday, February 10 at 7:30pm in Charters Lecture Hall. If you are interested in being a performer at the Rhythm and Blues Party on February 29th, please bring yourself and or your group out to audition! We can't make this event special without you! Please come prepared with a short audition piece no longer than 6 minutes. Happy auditioning!

*Special Tip: Songs, skits, poems, music, (including R&B, Jazz, Hip-hop, Soul, Funk, Pop, Disco, Negro Spirituals, Doo-wop, gospel, Boogie-woogie, Rock and Roll, Rap and other genres of music) that you feel will bring this "Rhythm and Blues" event to life, will earn you points (which will help you earn a spot to perform at the party!) Gather for a fabulous evening of entertainment with Broadway star and visiting guest artist Lisa Brescia (Mama Mia and Wicked) along with Tom Andes, who is a music instructor at Stephens. Music at its best! Stephens’ own vocal jazz ensemble, The Velvetones, will also perform.

Appetizers, wine and beer will be served, and childcare will be offered by SLATE (Students Learning About Teacher Education).

Following the celebration, walk to the Macklanburg Playhouse to enjoy the Bard’s own A Midsummer Night’s Dream at 7:30 p.m.
