Get involved. Try something new. Change the world.

There are lots of ways to get involved in clubs, events and special programs around campus.

We have academic clubs, honor societies, student organizations, Student Programming Council, Student Government Association, national sororities, a student magazine, student ad agency and a student literary journal. We’re home to four NAIA Conference athletics teams: softball, volleyball, basketball, and soccer, as well as nationally competitive club sports for cheer/dance and equestrian.

Campus Traditions

Stephens is steeped in rich campus traditions, some dating back to the school’s founding in 1833.

Honors Convocation

Honors Convocation recognizes outstanding students, faculty and alumnae with awards, scholarships and honors each spring.

The Ten Ideals

Inherent in the culture of Stephens College is the tradition of the Ten Ideals (originated in 1921). The Ten Ideals are a set of 10 core values that enrich and inspire the lives of Stephens students. The Ten are also a secret group of 10 students selected by the previous year's Ten for their personification of individual ideals. The Ten are revealed at Honors Convocation each year.

Crossing the Bridge

Each fall, new students cross the bridges at the heart of the Stephens campus to the welcoming cheers of fellow students and the campus community. Each spring, graduating students cross those bridges in the opposite direction, joining the community of 30,000+ alumnae, many of whom are gathered at the base of the bridge to celebrate the newest class of Stephens graduates.

Midnight Breakfast

Hosted by our Student Programming Council, Midnight Breakfast is an annual tradition that invites students to take a break from studying for finals. Faculty and staff connect with students during the last week of the semester by serving late-night breakfast in Stamper Commons.

  • Graduate Area Coordinator

  • Orientation Group Leader
