Stephens has a legacy when it comes to golf.

Stephens College has enjoyed a rich history of women in golf over the years. The sport became part of the College’s NAIA line-up in 2011.

Student golfers have a chance to train at the Columbia Country Club under the leadership of Ray Fron. Before moving to Columbia, Mo., Fron was a part of the Michigan Amateur Golf Tour (MIAGT).

Stephens was nationally known for its golf program in the 1970s and 1980s coached by pro golfer Ann Casey Johnstone.
