Stephens College Equestrian hosted Smith and Alexandra Lilly for a two-day clinic and book signing at the historic Stephens College Equestrian Center in late January. Kelly Hulse’s Saddle Seat majors and 16 outside equestrians participated in this enriching opportunity to learn from a multiple world champion trainer and author. In addition, Stephens equestrian students and faculty, as well as members of the Missouri Horse Show Association, held a networking event as part of the visit. The MHSA also held its awards banquet on campus this year.

“Stephens continues to be committed to providing students with access to working professionals across every field including, of course, equestrian,” said Hulse, a longtime saddle seat instructor at Stephens. “We believe in being engaged in the professional community and were pleased MHSA students were also able to join us for this educational clinic. At the same time, the individualized attention our own students received from this world champion is another example of the truly remarkable education our students are able to receive here at Stephens thanks in part to the reputation of our program and our alumnae. We are so thankful to Smith and Alexandra Lilly for sharing their knowledge.”
