Stephens College students Fey Chavez ’18 of New Haven, Mo., and Tobie Roberts ’18 of Overbrook, Kan., showed their collections on the runway at Kansas City Fashion Week, which ran March 25-31.
Chavez was selected this fall by Project Runway alumni Michael Drummond and Joshua Christensen to showcase her men’s fashion collection. Roberts, who owns her own bridal line, Tobie Marie, featured her bridal collection on the runway.
Both student designers will earn their bachelor’s degrees in fashion design and product development from Stephens College next month.
The work of recent Stephens graduate Tonya Pesch ’15, who owns the brand Nokota, also was shown at Kansas City Fashion Week. As a Stephens student, she notably received the Best Collection: Most Marketable Award for her senior collection.
