Associate Professor Kirsteen Buchanan ’83 and Assistant Professor Lisa Lenoir, both in the School of Design, recently spoke about trends and concepts in wearable technology with journalism students at the University of Missouri. Their presentation was part of a series of informational sessions to help student teams prepare for the 2017-2018 RJI Student Competition, sponsored by the Donald W. Reynolds Journalism Institute at the Missouri School of Journalism.

The 11th annual technology competition is a collaboration between RJI, the Missouri School of Journalism, MU College of Engineering and Trulaske College of Business and can help students in their post-college careers. Some student teams continue developing their products after graduation. Others apply the skills they learned in the competition to their current career endeavors.
