For two weeks in June, young riders converged on the Stephens College Equestrian Center, one of Columbia’s notable historic properties, for the College’s annual Summer Riding program. Campers learned the basics of riding, horse care and safety from Stephens equestrian program faculty with assistance from current students.

As a Columbia tradition since the 1940s, the Summer Riding program has provided generations of children and young adults the opportunity to explore a love of riding in a safe and fun environment.

In July, Stephens also will host several other camps as part of its Dream Up Summer Camps program:

  • Fashion Immersion: July 8-12
  • Fashion Design Challenge: July 15-19
  • YAAL Rock!: July 22-26
