Becca McCharen-Tran, the founder of Chromat, visited the Stephens College campus as part of the Jeannene Booher Fashion Lecture Series on Feb. 20. Her designs have been worn by Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Madonna and Ariana Grande.

While on campus, McCharen-Tran — who is known for her inclusion and authenticity — shared her experiences in Stephens classes and reviewed the work of fashion design, fashion communication, and apparel studies students. She also gave an evening public lecture titled “Perspectives on Fashion.”

The Jeannene Booher Fashion Lecture Series launched in November 2016 with a $1 million gift from Jeannene Booher, a 1956 alumna of the Stephens College fashion program. Through the lecture series, Stephens students also benefit from guest lecturers attending classes, meeting with students in small groups, and providing networking and critique opportunities.
