On March 5, Houston-based fashion designer Victor Costa, who is known as the “king of the copycats,” visited Stephens College fashion classes. Stephens students had the opportunity to talk with and share their fashion collections with the famed designer.
During his visit to campus, Costa also gave a public lecture as part of The Jeannene Booher Fashion Lecture Series in the Kimball Ballroom of Lela Raney Wood Hall. The lecture series launched in November 2016 with a $1 million gift from Booher, a 1956 alumna of the College’s fashion program.
The Stephens College Historic Costume Gallery, located in Lela Raney Wood Hall, is displaying Costa’s work in its spring show. “Designing Dreams in Fashion” is on display through May 6 in the Historic Costume Gallery. View gallery hours.
