Stephens College has named Gina Sholtis to the position of interim vice president for institutional advancement, effective Dec. 1. Sholtis comes to Stephens after a successful and extensive career in higher education institutional advancement, including leadership roles at Saint Louis University, Washington University, the University of Missouri and Marquette University in Milwaukee.
“Gina’s professional record clearly reflects her exceptional fundraising skills, strategic community building, leadership, and collegiality across institutional types and sizes,” said Dr. Dianne Lynch, Stephens College president.
Sholtis most recently served as vice president for university advancement at Marquette University, where she was responsible for all areas of the advancement division. She was assistant vice chancellor for advancement at Mizzou during its $1.3-billion Our Time to Lead campaign; prior to that, she was associate dean and senior director of development at Washington University, where she participated in the $2.3-billion Leading Together campaign.
Sholtis’ expertise also includes alumni relations. She has been directly responsible for multiple campus-wide special events; alumni publications; alumni boards, clubs and volunteers; and a highly successful travel program.
Sholtis earned a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Missouri State University.
