Kelsey Haney ’19 wins qualifier at UPHA American Royal National Championship

Stephens student Kelsey Haney ’19 and Harlem’s Heirospace have won the Missouri-Kansas Amateur 3-gaited qualifier at the UPHA American Royal National Championship. She and fellow Stephens students are competing this week at the national horse show in Kansas City, Mo.

Stephens Life, the student-run magazine at Stephens College, has once again been named a finalist for the Pacemaker Award by the Associated College Press. The nomination is for the 2017-18 school year. The Pacemaker is considered the Pulitzer Prize of collegiate publications, and Stephens Life was among the winners in 2017. Kansas City, Mo. – As the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) remains at the forefront of character-driven athletics, Stephens College continues its lengthy run as a Champions of Character Five-Star Institution. The NAIA announced the list on Thursday afternoon, and the Stars were among the 171 member institutions listed.

Stephens College graduate Delainey Phillips named Constance W. McMillin Fellow

*Delainey Phillips ’18*, a recent graduate of the Stephens College theatre program and the School of Creative and Performing Arts, has been selected as the Constance W. McMillin Fellow for the 2018-19 theatrical season. The fellowship is funded by Constance McMillin ’59. McMillin is a long-term supporter of both Stephens and Theater Works, which is located in Peoria, Ariz., where she now makes her home.
