Stephens student Kelsey Haney ’19 and Harlem’s Heirospace have won the Missouri-Kansas Amateur 3-gaited qualifier at the UPHA American Royal National Championship. She and fellow Stephens students are competing this week at the national horse show in Kansas City, Mo.

Members of Stephens Life magazine at Stephens College recently returned to campus following a successful trip to the Associated College Press/College Media Association National College Media Convention, where they won numerous awards.

Stephens Life, the student-run magazine at Stephens College, has once again been named a finalist for the Pacemaker Award by the Associated College Press. The nomination is for the 2017-18 school year. The Pacemaker is considered the Pulitzer Prize of collegiate publications, and Stephens Life was among the winners in 2017. Kansas City, Mo. – As the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) remains at the forefront of character-driven athletics, Stephens College continues its lengthy run as a Champions of Character Five-Star Institution. The NAIA announced the list on Thursday afternoon, and the Stars were among the 171 member institutions listed.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. –The Stephens College Athletic Department had seven of their eight varsity teams earn the distinction for NAIA Scholar-Teams for the 2017-18 academic year, as released by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) National Office on July 20.

*Delainey Phillips ’18*, a recent graduate of the Stephens College theatre program and the School of Creative and Performing Arts, has been selected as the Constance W. McMillin Fellow for the 2018-19 theatrical season. The fellowship is funded by Constance McMillin ’59. McMillin is a long-term supporter of both Stephens and Theater Works, which is located in Peoria, Ariz., where she now makes her home.
