Stephens College saddle seat students earned several top ribbons at the UPHA American Royal National Championship Horse Show, which was held from Nov. 5-10 in Kansas City, Mo. Kelsey Haney ’19, riding Harlem’s Heirospace, won the Three-Gaited Missouri/Kansas Amateur qualifier and the championship. In addition, Madeleine Oliver ’22, riding The King’s Lady Anne, finished as Reserve Champion in both events behind Haney, and Mallory Stacy ’19, riding Tango Till Dawn, was Reserve Champion in a 15 horse Missouri/Kansas Three-Gaited Show Pleasure Championship.  KelseyHaney Champion

Kelsey Haney ’19 wins qualifier at UPHA American Royal National Championship

Stephens student Kelsey Haney ’19 and Harlem’s Heirospace have won the Missouri-Kansas Amateur Three-Gaited qualifier at the UPHA American Royal National Championship. She and fellow Stephens students are competing this week at the national horse show in Kansas City, Mo.

Stephens Life named as finalist for ‘Pulitzer Prize’ of collegiate publications

Stephens Life, the student-run magazine at Stephens College, has once again been named a finalist for the Pacemaker Award by the Associated College Press. The nomination is for the 2017-18 school year. The Pacemaker is considered the Pulitzer Prize of collegiate publications, and Stephens Life was among the winners in 2017. Stephens Athletics named Champions of Character Five-Star Institution

Kansas City, Mo. – As the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) remains at the forefront of character-driven athletics, Stephens College continues its lengthy run as a Champions of Character Five-Star Institution. The NAIA announced the list on Thursday afternoon, and the Stars were among the 171 member institutions listed.
