Our equestrian center has camps and classes for all ages. The beautiful, historic center is located across from Stephens Lake Park and steps away from the Stephens College campus. 

Camps for Kids

Summer Riding Camps
June 6-10; 5-7:30 p.m. (Evening Camp) or
June 13-17; 9 a.m.-3 p.m. (Day Camp)
Co-ed | Grades 2-9           

A community tradition. Come learn the basics of riding, horse care and safety at our beautiful Equestrian Center, one of Columbia’s notable historic properties. Space is limited, which allows for personalized instruction from professional Stephens faculty with assistance from current students in the Equestrian program at Stephens. See 2015 Dream Up Summer photos.

Cost: $375, Evening Camp; $500, Day Camp

Equestrian Overnight Experience
June 19-25 (Session 1) or
June 26-July 2 (Session 2)                 
Girls only | Grades 8-12         

Stephens’ equestrian tradition continues with a camp designed for the more experienced rider. Here you’ll have the opportunity for riding or driving twice a day. All sessions will be taught by talented, award-winning faculty, assisted by champion-level assistants. Enjoy field trips exposing you to the equestrian world and careers. Stay and learn right here on our historic campus for a complete equestrian program experience. All housing and meals provided.

Cost: $1250 (includes all meals and housing)

Riding Programs for Adults  

Adult Summer Camp

Evening Camp (all levels)
Those 15 and older are considered adults for this program.                                                            
May 30-June 3; 5-7:30 p.m.

Cost: $375.00

Community Riding Program

The Stephens College Equestrian Studies program also offers riding lessons to the community year-round, with programs for both children and adults. Participants in our Community Riding Program have the opportunity to learn from highly qualified instructors both on horseback and from the ground. Lessons are two hours and include grooming, horse care, tack care and riding. Space is limited, so enroll today!
