The 63rd season of Stephens College Okoboji Summer Theatre (OST) was announced during the 40th annual University of Okoboji Winter Games in Spirit Lake, Iowa. Organizers estimated that the Winter Games drew as many as 40,000 attendees.

Summer 2020 OST productions were announced to include:

 

June 16-21: The Marvelous Wonderettes: Dream On (Musical, PG)

In addition, the Boji Bantam Children’s Theatre performances include: “Sideways Stories from Wayside School” (June 24-27); “The Pied Piper” (July 8-11); “The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs!” (July 22-25); and “The Velveteen Rabbit” (Aug. 5-8).

Stephen Brotebeck returns as OST’s artistic director and will be directing “Clue: On Stage,” “Noises Off” and “The Music Man.” He will be joined by an impressive artistic team consisting of directors, choreographers, guest actors and designers from around the country. 

Ticket prices are $24 (musicals) and $20 (non-musicals). Group discounts are available. Curtain times are 8 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday, with matinees at 4:30 p.m. Saturday and 6 p.m. Sunday. Two-for-one performances include Saturday evening (8 p.m.) for all ages and Saturday (4:30 p.m.) and Sunday (6 p.m) for senior citizens, ages 65 and older.

The Okoboji Summer Theatre is owned and operated by Stephens College and has been a proud member of the Okoboji community since 1958. This summer, OST celebrates its 63rd season as a professional summer-stock company, featuring performing arts students at Stephens College participating as a part of their B.F.A. program, and professional guest artists from across the country creating nine main-stage productions and four Boji Bantam Children’s Theatre productions in 10 weeks each season.
