Lisa Brescia, Associate Professor of Acting, has just returned from playing the role of Heidi Hansen in Dear Evan Hansen at the Noel Coward Theatre in London's prestigious West End.
Brescia has now played the role on Broadway, on the Broadway National Tour and on the West End, which is a rare and remarkable trifecta for a performer.
"Lisa is a star on stage, in the classroom and in life," said Jennifer Hemphill, Dean of the Conservatory for the Performing Arts at Stephens College. "We are beyond fortunate that she joined our team."
Brescia is renowned for her Broadway experience, starring in leading roles in Dear Evan Hansen, Mamma Mia!, Wicked, The Times They Are A-Changin’, Aida and The Woman in White. Regional credits include A Comedy of Tenors, The Winter’s Tale, Hamlet, August: Osage County, Victor Victoria and Cabaret. She has served as assistant professor of Acting at Missouri State University’s Department of Theater and Dance.
Brescia received her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts from Empire State College, and her Master of Fine Arts in Classical Acting from the Academy for Classical Acting.
