Stephens College license plates are available to Missouri residents. By putting a Stephens license plate on your vehicle, you show the world your support of Stephens and gain the satisfaction of supporting Stephens students (a specialty plate includes a donation to your alma mater, with proceeds going toward student scholarships).
"I’m certainly proud to let everyone know of my affiliation with Stephens! I’m probably the only person in Springfield with plates like these and have had a lot of people ask me about them – especially on the Drury University campus! Anytime you see 'EQS 85' around Columbia, that’s me." —Cindy Tucker '85
To get started, you will need to receive a Personalized Plate Application (DOR-1716) form from the Department of Motor Vehicles.
With the form, you will receive instructions on what to do next. Most questions concerning personalized license plates are answered either on the front or the back of the Personalized Plate Application. Instructions for completing the application are on the back of the form. Write in Stephens College in the 'Other' box of the application.
If your vehicle registration isn’t up for renewal just yet, you can still request a plate: the DMV will pro-rate the registration fee – depending on the overlap of the existing registration and specialty plate registration – which isn’t paid until the plate is ready to be picked up.
