Important Next Steps

Next Steps for Accepted Students

You've made a great decision to apply to Stephens. We have a few recommendations to help you finalize your enrollment.

  • Step 1: If you haven't been to our campus yet, we encourage you to schedule a visit. You can arrange visit dates through our Plan a Visit page. We will tailor your visit to your interests.
  • Step 2: File your FAFSA (the Free Application for Federal Student Aid) which also serves as your application for financial aid at Stephens. We use this information to help determine the aid, grants and scholarships for which you may be eligible. You are always welcome to contact [email protected] with your questions, too. (If you are not planning to fill out a FAFSA, please let us know.) Stephens' FAFSA Code is 002512.
  • Step 3: Pay your enrollment deposit. We use your date of deposit to assign housing, for example, so you’ll want to reserve your spot now.

  • Step 4: Check out our Questions and Answers page for more tips and info!

Accepted Student Days

What are Accepted Student Days? These days are designed to help accepted Stephens students take the next step in their Stephens College journey. This is your opportunity to meet with an adviser and create your first semester schedule, get your student ID and start your housing form. You'll also meet the the offices that are here to help you including Financial Aid.

Why should I attend an Accepted Student Day? Accepted Student Day is an opportunity to check several things off of your list prior to your arrival this fall, including: advising, registration, campus ID and more! This program will welcome and introduce you to the campus community. It is your opportunity to meet with an academic adviser and complete your fall course schedule. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to meet new and current Stephens students, interact with faculty and staff, and learn about involvement opportunities beyond the classroom. At Accepted Student Day you will receive answers to any questions you may have.

When are Accepted Student Days? We have lots of dates available throughout the spring. This year's schedule includes:

Friday, March 16 | 8:30-1 p.m. (Session Closed)

Friday, June 22  | 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. | Register here

I haven’t submitted my enrollment deposit yet. Will that effect my visit? All incoming students are required to submit an enrollment deposit of $250 to confirm your spot in the incoming class. You are most welcome to attend Accepted Student Day, but will not be able to officially register for classes until your enrollment deposit is submitted. We will have an opportunity for you to take care of that onsite, or you may click here to take care of it now!

Where should I park for Accepted Student Day? Directions to campus and parking maps are available here. Parking spaces will be marked with event signage on the day of the event. You do not need a parking pass to park for the day, but do be aware that there is no overnight parking allowed.

Where do I check-in for Accepted Student Day? Check-in will be in Lela Raney Wood Hall, located at 6 North College Ave., Columbia, MO 65215.

What to Expect When

Class schedules: Many of you checked this off your list on your Accepted Student Day visit. For those needing a schedule, an academic adviser will be in touch (based on your date of deposit). Book ordering information will be sent in late summer.

Housing: Housing request forms began to go out in May. We will begin to process assignments in early June.

Financial aid: From now through late June, the Office of Financial Aid will be working with you to ensure we have all necessary paperwork in hand. Your first bill will come in July and be due before classes start.
