Victor Costa is known as the “King of the Copycats.” He began his career designing bridal wear and went on to become the insider who sketched and sold the most important looks from the Parisian runways in American stores. His eye for design, whether from the runway, television or Hollywood, catapulted his own named label in the 1970s. Victor Costa is the excessive, daring and bold look women from all walks of life wore throughout the 1970s and 1990s.

From the ground-breaking college that brought you the first varsity collegiate esports team at a women’s college comes this gaming and programming camp just for girls. With a one-two punch of gaming and programming, our Gaming & Programming (GAP) Camp is designed to help you get (more) comfortable with technology by learning basic programming skills and playing esports as a part of a team. 

Half of each day will focus on learning JavaScript by creating a video game playable on any browser, including your smartphone. The remainder of the day will be spent learning and playing the Overwatch esports game. These sessions will include details on characters, maps and strategies and focus on communication and teamwork necessary to be successful in any esports game (and life!) All skill levels welcome; all students will be grouped by age and ability and will receive lots of individual attention.

Esports is a growing industry and technical skills are always in demand. But most of all, it’s fun!

CoMo Girls Rock! is dedicated to empowering self-identified girls, and gender non-conforming and/or trans youth through creative expression, musical exploration and social awareness. The many volunteers who run this camp provide mentorship and facilitate a space for campers to be themselves. Throughout the week, campers will learn an instrument (no experience necessary!), start a band and write an original song. There will also be DIY crafts, live concerts, meaningful workshops, the occasional dance party and more! The camp culminates on Saturday with a live rock show at The Blue Note featuring performances of campers’ original songs. An independent camp; sponsored in part by Stephens College.
