Night at the Apollo: Stephens Edition

(Campus - Student)

Time: 5 p.m.
Location: Upper Level Student Union

As part of Black History Month, join us for a Night at the Apollo!

The Apollo Theater is a historic institution in New York City. Comedians, singers and more have been performing there since 1913, and in 1934 the theatre introduced Amateur Night! The Apollo played a major role in the emergence of jazz, swing, bebop, R&B, gospel, blues and soul — all quintessentially American music genres. Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Sammy Davis Jr., James Brown, Gladys Knight, Luther Vandross, D’Angelo, Lauryn Hill, and countless others began their road to stardom on the Apollo stage.

The Stephens Edition will feature the talents of the Stephens community, including students, faculty, staff and alumnae. If you would like to perform, sign up by Feb. 24.
