Sept. 15, 2017:
From Campus Safety & Security: Stephens College and the University of Missouri have seen a recent increase in thefts from parked vehicles. Please continue to be diligent with locking your vehicle and removing all valuables. Please report all suspicious individuals loitering on or near our parking lots. 

Aug. 15, 2017:
August 21 is a class day on the academic calendar. Stephens offices will be closed from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. so that all Stephens College faculty, staff and students can enjoy the Eclipse Celebration on Stephens Historic Quad and the lawn of the President’s Home. Parking info: Beginning on August 18 at 6 p.m., all campus parking lots will be coned off and remained closed to non-Stephens College community members through Monday August 21. Only staff, faculty and students will be allowed to park in our campus lots. All trespassing vehicles will be booted and if necessary towed at the owner's expense. It is very important if you plan on parking on campus between August 18-21 that your Stephens College parking hang tag is visible. If you your hang tag is not visible, you run the risk of having your vehicle towed from campus.

May 2, 2017:
On May 2, 2017, at approximately 5 p.m. an unidentified male individual entered Stamper Commons and was observed leaving the Student Development office in possession of a stolen purse. The suspect of the theft is described as a bearded African American male, wearing a black shirt and dark pants. The suspect was last seen walking southbound on Willis Avenue in possession of the stolen purse. At approximately 7:30 p.m. the University of Missouri Police Department recovered a cell phone, which was stolen along with the purse. The phone was recovered on the University of Missouri campus near Stankowski Field.

March 15, 2017: 
A fire occurred on the third floor of Tower Hall at approximately 2:20 p.m. on March 15, 2017, with a suspected cause of the heater motor. All students are safely back in the building. Smoke damage was sustained to the room and adjoining room, but no fire damage resulted.

Feb. 20, 2017:
On Feb. 27, Stephens faculty and staff are invited to attend an Emergency Action Planning program. The presentation will be held in Charters Auditorium starting at 3 p.m. and will last approximately one hour. The presentation will cover our current individual Emergency Action building plans and will discuss our future campus plans. On March 10, an Active Shooter program will be held at 3 p.m. in Charters Auditorium. It should run approximately an hour and a half.

Jan. 15, 2017: 
The Stephens campus is open on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.  In lieu of regularly scheduled classes, all employees and students are required to participate in an all-campus celebration in Dr. King’s honor. Read about it here. Thanks to everyone who helped ensure the safety of our Stephens community during the recent weather concerns. See you all Monday at our MLK Jr. Day celebrations. 

Jan. 14, 2017: 
Due to the pending icy road conditions Stephens security will not be running Jan. 14. The next Walmart shuttle is scheduled for Jan. 21.

Jan. 12, 2017: 
In light of the National Weather Service’s forecast of freezing rain beginning tomorrow afternoon and continuing throughout the weekend, the Stephens College campus will be closed on Friday, Jan. 13. Employees whose function on campus is essential to the safety and security of our students will report for work. Regular operations will resume on Monday, Jan. 16.
