Many Stephens students worry about outdated and unfashionable dorm rooms.
Dorthy Fischel a senior Marketing and Management major, transformed her dorm room into her own Barbie Dream House.
Fischel bought antique furniture from a thrift store and added her own twist. She has a table in her living room that she said had scratches on it, so to make it fashionable, she used pearls to cover the scratches. She also has an end table that she uses as a jeweley box. Many other students have come up with creative ways to decorate their living areas.
Take Hillary McBride, a Resident Assistant, who decorated the third floor of Pillsbury Hall with hand carved picture frame made of cardboard boxes. She says it took her all summer to put them together, but it was well worth it to make her residents feel comfortable in their new living space.
