Mokeila (Mo) Hunter, junior, is among many Stephens women who live and breathe fashion. What makes her stand out is her extraordinary personal style. She loves every aspect of fashion, from the art to behind the scenes, and she never takes a day off from dressing fabulously. This thrifty, chic chick is making waves in the fashion scene at Stephens. Hunter tells us about her influences and even shares a funny story about a fashion mistake.
Stephens Life: How would you describe your personal style?
Mo Hunter: My personal style is chic with a little oomph and a pinch of fierce.
S.L: What brands do you most identify with? Why?
M.H: I have no favorite. I shop at too many places and have seen too many things to have a favorite, but thrifting is my home.
S.L: What is your favorite fashion trend? Why?
M.H: An over-sized sweater, boots and don’t forget your scarf. Also, boyfriend jeans with a fitted tee.
S.L: What is your least favorite fashion trend?
M.H: Jeans with no pockets, unless they’re jeggings!
S.L: Who is/are your biggest fashion influence(s)?
M.H: “The Devil Wears Prada”, the movie (my fashion bible), and Rihanna.
S.L: What is your favorite item in your closet? Or what do you find yourself wearing the most?
M.H: Long socks, scarves and dark colored blazers!
S.L: Where do you get inspiration for your outfits?
M.H: Rihanna and my own crazy mind.
S.L: What is your biggest fashion regret?
M.H: Going to the thrift store and picking up this beautiful (thought to be) dress and going home to put it on, and (I) had both of my legs in one hole because it ended up being a jumpsuit!
Whenever you catch Hunter on campus, take a couple of cues from her eclectic wardrobe!
