Emily Marchant is an Integrated Media Major at Stephens College. She is from a small town in Oregon. She has an older brother with a pre law major. Her mother is a nurse and her father works for the state. Emily is of French descent which is evident with her last name, Marchant. Not only is Emily notable French but she also has deep Native American roots. This is significant because Emily used to have the classic long straight un-layered Indian style haircut. However, upon her arrival to Stephens, Emily craved to do something rebellious and crazy like most college bound students feel. So instead of turning to a substance Emily turned to a haircut. Emily chopped all of her hair off and currently rocks her new doo. Emily has repeatedly admitted to have an issue when it comes to patience. This comes into play because although Emily has loved her short spunky look she desperately misses her long luxurious locks.
