Kappa Delta to host 5k Run/Walk
Every day, three children die from abuse or neglect in the U.S. and in Missouri, a child is abused or neglected every hour. Fight back. Join the women of Kappa Delta sorority to raise awareness and money to eradicate child abuse.
Kappa Delta is hosting its sixth annual Shamrock 5K Run/Walk at 1 p.m. March 9 at Stephens Lake Park. The event will include the run and walk as well as a run for kids. The ladies of Kappa Delta will also provide an activity area for children of participants. Eighty percent of proceeds from the event stay in Missouri and benefit Kids First, and 20 percent go to Prevent Child Abuse America, the sorority’s national philanthropy.
