I’m meeting more and more students here and I continue to be amazed at how talented they are.
A couple of examples to leave you with this week:
Two of our film students, LeeAnne Lowry and Kirsten Izzett, took second place at the “Gimme Truth” contest at this year’s True/False Film Festival.
Their short film was called “Dem Bones” and it was, indeed, true. Read about the film that profiled the Stephens woman who carries her rib bone in her pocket . (No, seriously.)
Then there’s Terra Carlson who landed an internship at Victoria’s Secret corporate offices this summer. Did you automatically think of those risqué commercials? I did too at first, but Terra made me see a whole new side to the industry and it’s surprisingly real and human. Check out her story here.
Have a great weekend!
