Making Local Calls
It has come to our attention that local calls are being made using authorization codes and going out on long distance trunk lines consequently tying up those lines. We have blocked all local calls from going out on these lines. If you try to make a call and get a busy signal using your code, please check to see if it is a local prefix. For your convenience a complete list of toll-free prefixes are listed below. With these calls you just need to dial 9 and the seven-digit number:
214, 219, 228, 234, 256, 268, 289, 356, 424, 441, 442, 443, 445, 446, 447, 449, 474, 488, 489, 499, 514, 657, 673, 696, 698, 771, 808, 814, 815, 817, 818, 819, 825, 864, 874, 875, 876, 881, 882, 884, 886, 999.
