Telephone Quick Reference
- Internal Call- Dial the 4-digit extension number of the phone you are calling.
- Outside Call- (Local) - 9 + 7-digit local number
- Long Distance- 6 + 1 + area code + 7-digit number
- Toll Free- 9 + 1 + 800 or 877 or 888 + 7-digit number
- Conference Calls- Dial party "A" Once "A" is on the line, depress and release the OR switch hook once to place "A" on hold. Dial party "B". After "B" is SCREEN CALLS- on line, depress and release switch hook once, then dial #2 to connect yourself and "B" in conference with "A". Each additional party is added to the conference in the same way.
- Call Forward- Dial *65 + 4-digit number of the extension you want to receive your calls
- Cancel Call Forward- #65 and hang up.
- Transfer- Depress and release switch hook once, dial 4-digit extension. To cancel transfer, depress switch hook once, dial #1.
- Call Pick-Up- **5 + 4-digit extension number of phone you wish to pick up.
- Trouble Reporting- Dial 0 for operator.

Voice Mail Quick Reference
Accessing voicemail from your phone-
Dial 4324, and follow the system prompts.
Accessing voice mail from someone else's telephone-
Dial 4324 (wait for answer) followed by # and then 9 + your 4-digit extension and follow the system prompts.
Accessing voice mail from off campus-
Dial 876-2324, at the general greeting dial # and then 9 + your 4-digit extension and follow the system prompts.

Making Local Calls
It has come to our attention that local calls are being made using authorization codes and going out on long distance trunk lines consequently tying up those lines. We have blocked all local calls from going out on these lines. If you try to make a call and get a busy signal using your code, please check to see if it is a local prefix. For your convenience a complete list of toll-free prefixes are listed below. With these calls you just need to dial 9 and the seven-digit number:
