And yet when I meet a prospective student touring campus, I can see it in her eyes—she can’t get past the outdatedness of our classrooms. We may be a step down from her high school and other colleges she’s visited. It’s disappointing that all she sees are dusty chalkboards, uncomfortable desks, older technology. She can’t see what I know Stephens to be: an utterly transformative experience, and I can’t imagine being anywhere else.”
