175 Years of Women in Print*
Sept. 2-26, 2008
Opening reception: 4-6 p.m., Sept. 5
Prints representing women from the 1830s to the present. These works, on loan to the Davis Art Gallery, were selected with a broad definition of social realism, portraying women through the eyes of artists over the last 175 years.

Priceless Souls*
Oct. 3-31, 2008

Photographs by Denise McGill, a photographer and writer who has covered five continents gathering images that document the human experience. Her work has been featured in many publications, including "Christianity Today." Many of her projects focus on migration and faith issues. For several years, McGill served as an overseas correspondent for the award-winning magazine "The Commission." Major assignments included AIDS in Africa, refugees in Colombia and Muslim women.
The exhibit is being shown to highlight human dignity in contrast to human trafficking. The latter is a global issue that the College addressed during a "Not For Sale" Awareness Week in September.

Senior Capstone and Graphic Arts Portfolio Show (previously called the B.F.A. Seniors/Student Show)

A capstone exhibit featuring the works of graduating graphic design seniors. The show will also showcase the top design projects from graphic design and art students at Stephens College.
*Shown as part of Stephens College’s 175th anniversary celebration.
Founded in 1833, Stephens is the second-oldest women's college in the
nation.
