STEEL MAGNOLIAS   Comedy (PG13)
By Robert Harling

June 14-19
Welcome back! We start off strong with a poignant comedy full of humor, a strong dose of southern charm and a very special guest. With a beauty parlor backdrop and five gossipy women from Louisiana, watch their lives unfold, intertwine and entertain us. As of this printing, Dawn Wells (A Stephens alumna and best known as "Mary Ann" from Gilligan’s Island) is slated to bring this funny, heartwarming tale to life in our 54th season opener. The NY Daily News called this one full of “sharp, funny dialogue…and builds to a conclusion that is deeply moving.” Don’t miss this one!

WAIT UNTIL DARK    Mystery Thriller (PG-13)
By Frederick Knott

June 21-26
A mysterious doll is the centerpiece of this captivating piece. An innocent blind woman is terrorized by a group of thugs desperately searching for the doll they covet. A chilling game of cat and mouse ensues. A Broadway hit, this tightly woven thriller will hold you in suspense until its breath-stopping conclusion.

BEDROOM FARCE    Farce (Adult)
By Alan Ayckbourn

June 28-July 3
Join us for this wonderful classic from award-winning playwright Alan Ayckbourn. Trevor and Susannah’s marriage is on the rocks. When their pals start to offer help, then the mayhem begins! Over one endless Saturday night, we get a glimpse—literally—into the bedrooms of their friends to witness some unforgettable, and hilarious, chaos and confusion. Winner of two Tony awards and always an OST favorite.

NUNSET BLVD      Musical Comedy (PG)
Book/Music/Lyrics by Dan Goggin

July 5-10
They’re back! In this brand-new adventure, the Little Sisters of Hoboken have been invited to sing at the Hollywood Bowl—and are thrilled at the prospect…until they arrive and realize they’re actually booked into the Hollywood Bowl-A-Rama. Prepare to laugh until you cry as you watch the Sisters show go awry.

THE SUNSHINE BOYS Comedy (PG)
By Neil Simon

July 12-17
This quintessential Neil Simon classic follows two former vaudevillian stars that were the best of friends and now, haven’t spoken in 12 years. Watch OST favorites Rob Doyen and Addison Myers as a reunion brings them together for an evening of memories and laughs.  It just doesn’t get any better than this!

SHOOTING STARS    Comedy (PG)
By Molly Newman

July 19-24
It’s Christmas, 1962, and “The Shooting Stars,” an all-female basketball team, is facing off against a local men’s team. Cheer for these spirited, southern women as we learn from their jokes and stories what’s pulled them each together to form this unlikely and kooky team. A “brash and breezy piece” with a “strong strain of truthfulness” is what the critics are calling this one.  If you liked “A League of Their Own,” this one is for you!

THE LADIES MAN    Farce (PG13)
By Georges Feydeau

July 26-31
Be prepared for your sides to ache with laughter! Dr. Molineaux is having trouble “performing” and his beautiful young wife insists that it must be due to infidelity. Their problems only magnify as their closest friends prove to be a most unhelpful, self-centered zany bunch of characters. One critic suggests, “If you go, be sure to bring your own seat belt.”

THE GLASS MENAGERIE    Classic Drama (PG13)
By Tennessee Williams

Aug. 2-7
Tennessee Williams’ classic theater piece launched his career and captured the hearts and imagination of audiences for more than 65 years.  A nostalgic look at a family whose past is steeped in abandonment, hatred, and guilt, this play will remind the audience what it is to be human.  One of the best plays ever written for the American stage, come and experience the charm and beauty this drama offers.

EVITA     Musical (PG13)
Music by Andrew Lloyd Webber; Lyrics by Tim Rice

Aug. 9-14
A former B-picture actress rises to power as the wife of Argentinian president Juan Perón, becoming both the most beloved and hated woman in the country…Evita! Composer Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyricist Tim Rice earned several Tony awards, including for best musical and original score, and few will forget the beautifully haunting Broadway classic “Don’t Cry for Me Argentina.” The New York Post calls it “wonderfully entertaining…a stunning theatrical experience."  As usual, OST goes out with a bang!
