Festival of Trees
Stephens’ Fashion Merchandising class worked with Ruth and Stephanie LaHue of My Secret Garden to decorate a Christmas tree, donated by Commerce Bank, for the 15th Annual Festival of Trees. The students worked several weeks with theme proposals, inspiration boards, color and texture materials and naming the tree (they decided on "Midnight Inspirations") based not only on the tree design, but inspired by Museo, the company who purchased the tree. Each student personally designed and made an ornament based on the theme.
The festival benefits Lutheran Family and Children's Services of Mid-Missouri with a mission to help build families through adoption assistance, foster care and crisis pregnancy counseling.
