STEPHENS COLLEGE TO HOLD
DECEMBER COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Stephens College will confer 29 bachelor’s and 31 master’s degrees upon its graduates during its December 2011 Commencement ceremony at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011, in the Kimball Ballroom of Lela Raney Wood Hall, 6 N. College Ave.
Dr. Annette L. Sobel, assistant to the provost for Strategic Opportunities at the University of Missouri-Columbia, will deliver the keynote address. Class speakers will be Kara Hinshaw, who will represent the undergraduate program, and Amy LaPaglia, who will represent the graduate programs. Hinshaw of Topeka, Kan., will graduate Sum Cum Laude with a B.S. in Biology. LaPaglia of Morgantown, W.V., will receive a Master in Strategic Leadership.
Founded in 1833, Stephens College is the second-oldest women’s college in the country and prepares students to become leaders and innovators in a rapidly changing world.
