COLLEGE TO HOLD
DECEMBER COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Stephens College will confer 40 bachelor’s
and 21 master’s degrees upon its graduates during its December
2009 Commencement ceremony at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009,
in the Kimball Ballroom of Lela Raney Wood Hall, 6 N. College Ave.
A total of 40 graduates are expected to participate.
Class speakers will be Paulina Ramirez, who will represent the undergraduate
program; and Melynda Schlude, who will represent the graduate programs.
Ramirez of McAllen, Texas, will graduate with a B.S. in Marketing,
Public Relations & Advertising. Schlude of Columbia, Mo., will
receive an M.Ed. in Counseling with an emphasis in School Counseling
and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
Stephens College, established in 1833, is historically committed
to meeting the changing needs of women. Stephens engages students
in an innovative educational experience focused on pre-professional
fields and the performing arts, and grounded in the liberal arts.
