The event, to be held at 9 p.m., Oct. 28, is not open to the public, but media are welcome to attend.

Public events start with a Journalism Symposium on Thursday, Oct. 29, 4-6 p.m. at Windsor Auditorium, 1405 E. Broadway, on the Stephens College campus. Alberto Ibargüen, president and CEO of the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, will be present to deliver opening remarks and will also join local participants in the ensuing panel discussion, “The Future of American Journalism.” The symposium is free and open to the public.

On Friday, Oct. 30, the Stephens community will begin a daylong celebration at 9 a.m. with the Parade of Stars (see program Web site below for route and more details). The parade, which is open to the public, will be followed by the installation ceremony at 10 a.m. (limited seating; by invitation only).
