Late Nights at the Library

To help get students prepared for finals, the library will be staying open later a few nights over the next two weeks. The following are the library’s hours for the last two weeks of the semester:
Monday, Dec. 6 & Tuesday, Dec. 7: 8 a.m.-11 p.m.
Wednesday, Dec. 8-Thursday, Dec. 9: 8 a.m.-1 a.m.
Friday, Dec. 10: 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
Saturday, Dec. 11: 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
Sunday, Dec. 12: 1 p.m.-1 a.m.
Monday, Dec. 13: 8 a.m.-1 a.m.
Tuesday, Dec. 14 & Wednesday, Dec. 15: 8 a.m.-11 p.m.
Thursday, Dec. 16: 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
We will also have free food and drinks on Wednesday, Dec. 8 and Sunday, Dec 12 at 7 p.m. Thanks and see you there!

December Commencement
The Stephens December 2010 Commencement ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 11 in the Kimball Ballroom of Lela Raney Wood Hall. A total of 45 graduates are expected to participate. A reception will be held in Macey Lounge immediately following the ceremony.
Stephens alumna and Board of Trustee member Jane Hobson Marcus ’78, a senior client partner in Korn/Ferry International’s New York and Chicago offices, will deliver the keynote address. Class speakers will be Lainey Hughes, who will represent the undergraduate program, and Mandy L. Trainer, who will represent the graduate programs. Hughes of Co Mayo, Ireland will graduate with a B.F.A. in Digital Filmmaking. Trainer of Derby, Kan., will receive a Master of Business Administration.

Legal Studies Senior Essay Oral Defenses
Stephens students, faculty and staff are invited to attend two Legal Studies Senior Essay Oral Defenses. They will be as follows:
- Christina Braatz will present and defend her senior essay titled “International Animal Rights: A Review of Funding, Enforcement, and Public Awareness for International Animal Conventions” on Monday, Dec. 13 at 11 a.m. in Dudley 225.
- Jami Flesner will present and defend her senior essay titled “International Justice: An Analysis of the Effectiveness of International Criminal Tribunals” on Wednesday, Dec. 15 at 1 p.m. in Dudley 225.

Join the Smith family at the 1904 World’s Fair in St. Louis, Missouri, and see how their love and respect for each other is revealed through the most beautiful of music. Memorable musical numbers include “The Boy Next Door,” “The Trolley Song” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” and that’s just for starters! What a wonderful treat for the Columbia community this holiday season!
