Horse Show Results
The Stephens College Hunter/Jumper riders represented Stephens the weekend of April 9-10 at the Queenie Hunter/Jumper show at the National Equestrian Center in Lake St. Louis. Our riders competed against many of the top professionals from the region.
- Freshman Libby Enriquez and Magical Wish (aka “Emmie”) were Reserve Champion out of 20 horses in the Child/Adult 3' Jumpers.
- Senior Anastasia Dryjanski and Max's Fine Little Lena (aka “Kicker”) received 2nd-5th-7th in the Low Hunter Division out of 11 horses. They also received 3rd and 4th in the Schooling Hunter Division.
- Sophomore Caitlin Schneider and Art I An Art Breaker (aka “Tiny”) received 3rd's and 4ths throughout the weekend out of 20 horses in the Schooling Hunter Division.
- Sophomore Vanessa Tuepker and Two of Diamonds (aka “Junior”) received several 4ths in the Non-Pro 2'6-2'9 Division out of 11 horses. She also placed 4th in the Novice Rider Jumper 2'6 out of 14 horses.
- Sophomore Emily Weber and her own mare, Sydney, placed 4th out of 15 horses in the Schooling Jumper 3'.
- Freshman Shelby Hampton and Holy Smoke (aka “Jerry”) competed in the Child/Adult 3' Jumpers. It was Shelby's first time back in the ring in almost two years and our first time out with Jerry.
- Freshman Margaret Croy and Grey's Legend (aka “Hank”) competed in the Novice Rider Jumper 2'6. This was our first horse show with Hank, who was a former Grand Prix horse.
Our students were complimented on their riding skills but more importantly on the care and well being of their horses. We had an amazing time and are looking forward to the next. Thank you again for your continued support.
