Alumnae Pair to Speak
This evening, Monday, Feb. 28, the Stephens Women in Civic Leadership Lecture Series will feature Jenifer Brandeberry ’86, and Ellen Vollrath ’86. The event, free and open to the public, will be held at 5:30 p.m. in the Kimball Ballroom of Lela Raney Wood Hall. Students, leadership points are available.
For more than a decade, Jenifer has worked as a Principal at Brandeberry McKenna Public Affairs in Denver. The company, one of the oldest all women-owned public affairs firms in Colorado, serves a wide variety of clients from public entities to nonprofits to Fortune 500 entities.
Ellen serves as the Director of Contracts and Grants Accounting with International Relief and Development, Inc., in Washington, D.C. The organization aims to reduce the suffering of the world’s most vulnerable groups and to provide tools and resources needed to increase their self-sufficiency.
The Civic Leadership Lecture Series, funded by Mary Josie Cain Blanchard ’67, highlights Stephens alumnae with careers in federal, state, or local government, international relations or military service.

Saddle Seat Conference
Ellen Beard was the keynote speaker at the ASHA of New Jersey’s Regional Saddle Seat Conference, which was held Feb. 12-13 at the Sheraton Bucks County Hotel in Langhorne, Penn. She shared information about the Stephens Equestrian Studies department with conference attendees.
