Spring Exhibit Opens
The Stephens College Costume Museum and Research Gallery will open its spring exhibit on Saturday, Feb. 19, from noon to 3 p.m. in the Historic Costume Gallery on the mezzanine floor of LRW. “Ladder of Success” shows how the rise of women in the workplace and the fashion that accompanied her success worked in tandem toward attaining a powerful presence there.

This show's theme originated from a 1940s dress made from a print of colorful ladders. The show will have groupings of fashion statements as you explore the exhibit. From historic overview, to Power Pieces, Power Shape, Power Color, Power Plaid and another grouping showing powerful women’s suits with pinstripe ensembles, Power Pinstripes.

Dates: Feb. 19-May 8
Location: Historic Costume Gallery, mezzanine floor of LRW
Gallery hours: noon-3 p.m., Saturday and Sunday; 5:30-8:30 p.m., Thursday (or by appointment). Special tours can be scheduled for groups of five or more.
Fee: Free and open to the public.

Even Shakespeare couldn’t have written a better all’s well that ends well. It’s a romantic jaunt that is perfect for a February evening at the theatre.
