Dressage Show Results
This weekend, our Stephens dressage
riders did themselves and their college proud at the Columbia
Dressage & Combined Training Association Fall Show:
• Senior Lauren Blondell, riding Sonny's Hot Bunny,
won a 4th and a 6th in her dressage classes.
• Sophomore Emily Brammeier, riding Lazer, won a 2nd
and a 4th in her dressage classes.
• Sophomore Erin Hartman, riding Zinnia, won a 1st
and a 2nd in her dressage classes.
• Freshman Vanessa Tuepker, riding Catch Key, won
two 2nd places in her dressage classes.
All four riders and their horses were beautifully turned
out and a real credit to our Equestrian Studies program.
I am, as their teacher and colleague, very proud of each
and every one of them.

Thank You
Thanks to the 50 staff members who made the seminar on change,
"I did just got hit by a MACK Truck but I'm still standing!,”
a great success. The seminar was informative and helpful
for many! The seminar was brought to us through the Employee
Assistance Program (EAP) that Stephens College provides
through Boone Hospital Center. The EAP program is a confidential
assessment, short-term counseling and referral service that
provides direction to troubled employees and their families.
The program helps employees deal with problems in areas
such as marriage, family, emotional, abuse of alcohol or
drugs, adjusting to life changes, retirement, death in the
family, etc. The cost is paid by Stephens College. If you
have more questions or feel a need to contact EAP, call
815-6034 or toll free (877) 327-0327.
The Staff Advisory Council hopes to take advantage of other
seminars offered through this program, so watch your email.
Thanks again.
