Archives Display
In a display case located near the west end of the first floor corridor of Dudley Hall (outside of Room 114), the College's archives staff displays items of historical interest, with commentary. The goal is to change displays monthly. As you move up or down the hallway, you might pause for a look. It works both ways.

"Respect the Red," or Expect a Ticket
After 30 days of operation and warnings to red light runners at two major intersections, the city of Columbia will start enforcing violations with traffic tickets on Sept. 4. Cameras are positioned in the northbound lanes at the intersections of Providence Road at Broadway and at Stadium Boulevard and Worley Street. Faculty/Staff Corner
"Sports Day" Friday
The Staff Advisory Council (SAC) is sponsoring a "sports day" for casual Friday on Sept. 4! This means – wear your favorite team colors, jerseys, pins, hats, etc. This is also National College Colors Day – so if you don't have a favorite sports team, wear your college colors!

Please remember that articles should be "in good taste" – no flip flops, tank tops, short shorts, bare midriffs, etc.

We hope you will participate – it should be fun!

—Ann Taliaferro, SAC Chair; Administrative Assistant, Academic Affairs

SAC Seminar

Staff Advisory Council invites all staff to attend the dynamic seminar:

Ellie Saitta, LCSW, CEAP, EAP, manager of Behavioral Health at Boone Hospital Center, promises to deliver a lively and productive training with "pearls of wisdom" about moving through change. Plan to attend this informative hour, which will include examples of the stages of change, how each person moves through those stages differently and what we all can do to make ourselves resilient in a world that constantly throws changes our way.
