The Department of Dance
invites the Stephens community to a lecture demonstration
of circus arts and physical comedy with world dance
guest artist Randy Judkins (pictured) and members
of the Dimensions Repertory Dance Company.

Warehouse Theatre
Judkins’ career in physical comedy spans more
than three decades. He has taught at the Ringling
Brothers Barnum & Bailey’s Clown College,
in Florida, and at the Julliard School of Drama, in
New York City. He also served as a character consultant
for Tri-Star Pictures, and in 2001 he founded the
Maine Hysterical Society, a group that promotes Maine
folklore through music and comedic character sketches.

Wolpers Qualifies for Swimming
Nationals
Over the weekend, at the Principia Invitational, Stephens
freshman Annie Wolpers joined the ranks of qualifiers for
the NAIA Swimming & Diving Nationals in March. Wolpers
qualified for the 100-yard freestyle, finishing fourth in
the event. She joins Emily Younghouse (200, 500, 1650 free)
and Kelly Adams (200 & 500 free) as individual qualifiers
for Stephens. The Stars have also qualified in the 400 medley
relay, and the 200, 400 and 800 free relays. Wolpers also
placed third in the 50 freestyle at the meet. Younghouse
placed third in the 500 free and fourth in the 200 free.
Adams finished fourth in the 500 free. The relay team of
Lauren Holman, Emily Younghouse, Kelly Adams and Annie Wolpers
placed third in the 400 free relay. The team finished sixth
in the meet.

Input Wanted
The Teaching and Learning for the 21st century committee
would like to invite you to share some of your ideas with
us. We welcome ideas related to our pedagogical practices,
functions, and requirements. What practices do we want to
employ in curricular design, in scheduling? What does the
faculty see as our goals with respect to program evaluation
and assessment as well as student development and assessment?
What will we need, by 2015, in the way of facilities, infrastructure,
and technologies?

Davis Art Gallery
Kathleen M. Sanker and Bob Hartzell utilize light for
its ability to illuminate and elevate their subjects.
Shedding Light will include photography, light sculptures,
light boxes, and silkscreen posters and paintings.

have enjoyed a symbiotic relationship. Visualize sound
through the prints, fringes, and silhouettes of fashionable
dress in the 20th century. Special tours can be scheduled
for groups of five or more.
