It’s Been A Long Time Gone
Whoa! Where has the time gone?! I seriously have been around but not at the same time. I have so much that I want to share. I suppose my first post will be a recap over the past couple of days. I apologize in advance for writing in reverse order of things going on here in Columbus. I have been having both a lot of fun and some challenges, but it has all been for my growth and development.
In case you were curious as to what types of adventure I was getting myself into, you will not be disappointed.
Today, me and some friends headed up to the Columbus Zoo to check out the animals.
We saw some of the cutest things and some of the most interesting things were we did not even know how to react. By far the best part of the zoo was the polar bears. They dove into the water, swam around, and blew bubbles in the water. Absolutely adorable. The same girls, plus two other interns, went to the Big Bang Piano Bar. The Piano Bar never fails to entertain. I greatly appreciate live music and dancing.
The weekend before, Laura and I ventured down south to Hocking Hills. It was absolutely STUNNING. If you love nature, the trip is definitely worth it. We climbed around and saw waterfalls, caves, and rock arrangements. It was a beautiful day too (the past couple of weekends, Columbus has been rainy).
A few weekends ago was the July 4th. We were fortunate enough to check out COSI in downtown Columbus and watch the fireworks from there. Of course, we were all very festive looking. We also went to this crazy parade called the Doo Dah Parade. Needless to say, I felt like I was in the world of Dr. Seuss. I have never been around so much excitement and eccentricity.
Every time I drive around Columbus, I get more and more excited. I LOVE Columbus. I’m actually headed to Cedar Point next weekend. I could seriously see myself living here. It’s beautiful, diverse, and full of adventure. And I’m a girl who is all about the adventure. I know that by the time I leave to return home to Missouri, I will have memories that will remain in my heart until my dying day. That brings me so much joy.
I’m sure that you’re wondering about my internship. Don’t worry, I will definitely be writing about that. I promise to have a post up by the EOD Wednesday. In fact, I’m going to get to thinking and writing as soon as a I finish this particular post. Thanks for bearing with me.
